Marc Fleischner

Biography

Marc, the Coordinator of Installation and Repair at Rowan University manages desktop support for the University. Marc coordinates the set up and delivery of all new PCs purchased by the University and oversees the departments’ Student Worker Program. In addition, Marc is also an Adjunct Professor for the Computer Science department and is an advisor to Rowan’s Hillel. Before coming to Rowan, Marc worked in professional and college athletics. Marc worked in the Athletics department at Temple University where, in addition to acting as the departments Computer Support person, Marc ran promotion for all of Temple’s revenue sports, and promotion and marketing for their Olympic sports. Marc was also the public address announcer for the volleyball, baseball and softball teams. Prior to working at Temple, Marc worked for the Cincinnati Cyclones, formally of the International Hockey League. Marc was the database and network administrator, billing coordinator and graphic designer. With the team, Marc was one of the first people to start using computers to program the teams game night music (in the pre-mp3 days) and served as the Music and Special Effects Coordinator. Additionally, Marc consulted on the “new” technology for both Xavier University Men’s basketball team and the Cincinnati Bengals of the NFL. Marc has a Masters of Education from Xavier University in Cincinnati and a BS in Computer and Information Science from Temple University in Philadelphia. Marc, a “Jersey Boy” at heart, currently resides in Berlin, NJ.
