Marcie Bober-Michel

Biography

For most of my career at San Diego State, I taught research methods and field-based courses where students work directly with community partners on instructional design/development or evaluation projects of mutual interest). In 2014, I was elected to the University Senate where I served as Secretary (2014-16) and Chair (2016-19). .

I was fortunate to also serve as lead evaluator on federal, state, and private grants targeting our public schools --- initiatives to stimulate effective use of advanced technologies in the classroom and positively affect student learning and workforce readiness.

Since Fall 2020, I have served as a Faculty Fellow for Instructional Technology Services -- focused on building evaluation capacity by designing frameworks and associated protocols to ensure consistent data gathering across all projects or initiatives in which ITS is engaged
