Marden Paul

Biography

Marden Paul is Director, Policy, Planning, Governance Assessment in the office of the Chief Information Officer at the University of Toronto. His responsibilities include strategic planning, forecasting institutional requirements and opportunities for aligning IT in their support, facilitating partnerships amongst IT providers, and developing policies and guidelines for information management. Throughout his career, he has worked to bridge the current and future objectives of organisations with the potential of emerging and evolving technologies. A U of T graduate and an employee since 1997, Marden has held management positions at Development and University Advancement, Administrative Management Systems, and as Director of Strategic Computing in the Office of the VP and Provost. Prior to joining the University, he has held IT management positions in the not-for-profit sector (United Way) and in the commercial/manufacturing sector. He is father of four youngish children, and formerly an avid hiker, cyclist and canyonographer of the southwest United States.
