Peggy Dias

Biography

A seasoned IT professional, Peggy is the Executive Director of IT Service Assurance. Working directly with the CIO, she oversees a unified service structure for Computing & Information Technology Services. She ensures action-driven, patient, and quality customer service protocols for IT initiatives. She leads and supervises professional, graduate and undergraduate staff in exceptional service delivery. 

Committed to diversity, eqity and inclusion at UMass Dartmouth, Peggy serves as co-chair of Black History 4 Seasons, co-advisor of the NAACP College Chapter, and member of the Diversity & Inclusion Council.

Peggy is the UMass Dartmouth / Dell Changing the Face of Tech campus lead, an initiative that successfully recruits students of color for full time roles and internships at Dell Technologies.

She has served as an Equal Employment Opportunity Liaison monitoring countless hiring searches over the years. She currently serves as an NAACP New Bedford Branch Executive Officer. 

Peggy is a member of the EDUCAUSE DEI Advisory Committee.

Peggy holds an MBA from UMass Dartmouth and a BA in Economics from Stonehill College.
