Lecture capture began 10 years ago at DePaul University in Chicago when the College of Computing and Digital Media developed the Course OnLine system.
Dr. Margie Martyn earned her Ph.D. in Instructional Technology with a cognate in Computer Science from The University of Akron. As a full-time faculty member at Baldwin-Wallace College she taught courses in the Computer Science Department including database, systems analysis and design as well as telecommunications and networking. In her current role as President of Harold Washington College, one of the City Colleges of Chicago, she leads the team who oversees online learning for the entire district of the City Colleges of Chicago. CCC recently launched its first fully online degree program and Associate of Arts in Business and Economics.
