Biography
Marianne Reed is the Digital Information Specialist in the Center for Digital Scholarship in the University of Kansas Libraries. She has over 26 years of experience supporting library, teaching or research technologies in library and IT units at the University of Kansas and the University of Michigan.
In her role as Digital Information Specialist, Marianne has two primary areas of responsibility. Her first responsibility is working with the Scholarly Communication librarian to help ensure KU’s success in implementing KU'€™s new Open Access policy. Her second responsibility is to coordinate the day-to-day operations of the Center for Digital Scholarship (CDS) and to work on a variety of digital projects in imaging, digital publishing, and geo-spatial / numeric data with CDS staff and with faculty and student clients. Marianne has a B.A. in History and Anthropology from Kansas State University.
