Marianne Weingroff is an instructional designer and website developer at the Digital Library for Earth System Education. She works on the interface of the library as well as on various projects that involve creating educational interfaces for exploring Earth system datasets. Prior to joining DLESE, she developed self-paced learning modules for forecasters at the University Corporation for Atmospheric Research, and worked as an instructional designer at a community college and several educational software companies, both here and abroad. She has 2 masters degrees: one in instructional design from Harvard University and one in social work from Simmons College. As a social worker, she worked primarily in an inner city school for the deaf.
