Biography
Marilyn Dispensa is an instructional designer and project manager for the Faculty Innovation in Teaching Grant program at Cornell University. She works closely with faculty to help them effectively integrate technology into their courses on aspects ranging from concept development and design to production, implementation and evaluation.
Before coming to Cornell she worked at The University of Iowa. Highlights included coordinating the production of the multimedia web-site: Phonetics: The Sounds of Spanish and English. This module has been featured on Macromedia, Apple, and The New Media Centers web sites. Another successful project is The Bones of the Skull: A 3-D Learning Tool which won 2 national awards and has a worldwide distribution of more than 5000.
Marilyn has a B.S. in Biology from Cornell and after 9 years doing research in microbiology, she completed a master's degree in Instructional Design from the University of Iowa.
