Biography

Mark D. Webster, Ph.D.

Dr. Mark D. Webster presently serves as Chief Information Security Officer for East Carolina University. Prior to coming to ECU in February 2019, he served as Chief Information Officer/Vice President of Technology at J. Sargeant Reynolds Community College for five years (also serving as Primary Informtion Security Officer). His career has included working over 20 years in K-12, including 10+ years serving as Director of Technology for Colonial Heights Public Schools. His educational background includes a Ph.D. in Education Technology Management from Northcentral University, BIS in Information Technology Management from James Madison University, MS in Educational Media from Radford University, BA in Philosophy from James Madison University, and AA from Ferrum College.
