Biography

Mark Dieterich, CISSP, is the Chief Information Security Officer at Brown University. He built a career around successfully leading enterprise data/information security for diverse organizations, with emphasis on academic sector. His broad experience includes developing and documenting data risk classifications, incident response measures, preparedness exercises to protect information assets, technologies, systems, and processes, and communicating security awareness concepts to stakeholders at all levels. He is in touch with legal and regulatory standards surrounding IT and cybersecurity and has extensive experience with cybersecurity technologies within the digital ecosystem of a university.
