Biography
Mark Garcia Cloud Architect Mark Garcia has been a part of Microsoft for over 19 years. He has participated in the transformation from DOS to Windows, was deeply involved in the break into the networking era, the rapid leap into the internet era, and now is a part of the latest transformation of Microsoft into the devices and services era. Mark started his career at Microsoft in support as a DOS 4.0 engineer, became the lead for Windows dial up and networking, a lead for MS Mail and Exchange connectors, and eventually transitioned into Microsoft Consulting Services. As a Microsoft consultant for 11 years, Mark led many large deployments within Fortune 500 companies and eventually became an Enterprise Architect and Enterprise Strategy Consultant working with CIOs on groundbreaking large enterprise wide initiatives. Mark currently is a Cloud Architect within the U.S. education team and has been involved with the Microsoft services strategy for over 3 years. With the cloud being a major initiative for education customers, Mark has successfully led and guided numerous higher education and k12 customers on their journey to the adoption of Microsoft services.EDUCAUSE Presentations
