Mark Ihnat

Biography

Associate Dean with almost 20 years of experience working in higher education. Skilled in Digital Learning, Coaching, Facilitation, Faculty Development, Student Support, Strategy Development, and Mentoring.

Mark Ihnat is currently the Associate Dean, Digital Learning at Humber College ITAL. A former full-time Humber Professor and Program Coordinator, Mark now oversees faculty digital training and development with a focus on digital fluency, the development and review of Humber’s online courses, the administration of the College’s Learning Management System (LMS) and manages the Open Learning Centre – an operation that provides six days of the week support to all of Humber College's students. He is also involved in SOTL inspired research, manages extended reality (VR/AR) projects and the deployment and administration of the College’s digital student feedback platform.

Mark is also the current Chair of the Educational Technology Committee, a provincial subcommittee of the Coordinating Committee of Vice-Presidents, Academic (CCVPA) and he continues to teach within higher education as a part-time faculty member.
