I am Head of Project Services and Deputy Director of Applications Division within Information Services at the University of Edinburgh. My areas of responsibility include portfolio, programme, project and change management, IT strategy and planning.
I joined the University Of Edinburgh in 1994 following experience in the commercial sector with BP Chemicals and PA Consultancy. At the University I've held several other senior roles including IT Infrastructure Manager, Head of Applications Development and Head of Production Management (IT Applications Support). As a result I have a wide understanding of technology applications within Higher Education and long term experience working alongside partners from across the campus. I consider myself a hybrid with strong interests in technology, people and and business. As Deputy Director and Head of Project Services I play a leading role in the University IT planning process.
I'm currently Chair of the Project and Change Management Group within the University and Colleges Information Systems Association (UCISA). UCISA is an equivalent organisation to EDUCAUSE based mainly in the United Kingdom but with membership from across Europe.
