Marlena Brown
Biography
Marlena Brown is a Sr. Director, Analyst at Gartner where her research area is Higher Education technology strategies focused on student success and academic technologies for higher education, with a particular focus on Data and Analytics, CIO and IT data management issues and process management higher Education.
Prior to joining Gartner. Ms. Brown had a 20-year career in higher Education. Her practical experience includes technology leadership positions where she was Director of Systems at Richard Stockton University and Assistant Vice Chancellor of systems at Purdue University. In addition, Ms. Brown has worked with 100+ institutions around the globe in an education consulting role. This includes serving as a Principal Data and Analytics Consultant at Blackboard and a Director with Gartner consulting. As part of her practical and consulting experience she has managed diverse information technology ecosystems and created environments that promoted data driven decision making. She has direct experience collaborating with senior leaders developing strategy and delivering operational results.
