Biography

Mary Evansen is the communications director for the University of Wisconsin-Madison Division of Information Technology. In her role, she leads a talented team of marketing specialists and digital designers. Mary works with the UW-Madison Office of Cybersecurity to set the strategic communication around educating faculty, staff and students on cybersecurity best practices. She builds awareness of cybersecurity threats and the resources available to the campus community for protecting their data and sensitive information.

Mary leads a 30-member Student Information Technology Advisory Board. She has also served on numerous campus leadership teams and committees.  She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Communications from the University of Wisconsin – Oshkosh.
