Mary Hricko

Biography

Dr. Mary Hricko has written several books, articles, and white papers on open learning, online assessment, digital learning, and quality assurance in online education. Her publications include: Design of Web-Enabled Teaching Tools, Online Assessment and Measurement Foundations and Challenges; Online Assessment and Measurement: Case Studies from K-12, Higher Education and Corporate, and Online Assessment, Measurement, and Evaluation: Emerging Practices and Social Networks: Implications for Higher Education. She is actively involved in the Ohio Open Ed Collaborative, the ITC Taskforce for Accessible Distance Education, Quality Matters, WCET, and WAOE. She serves as one of OhioLINK's System Leaders for Affordable Learning and was named the 2018 ALAO Distance Education Visionary. She is a Professor at Kent State University where she serves as the Library Director at the Geauga Campus and Twinsburg Academic Center. Her research interests include open pedagogy, digital accessibility, and quality assurance in digital learning.
