Biography

Mary Lia Reiter is a Professor of Sociology/Criminology and the Distance Learning/Technology Lead Instructor for the Social Sciences Department at Columbus State Community College. She leads regular brown bag sessions on the use of technology in the classroom. She has experience and expertise in using social media in the classroom, teaching in virtual worlds, and online/distance learning course development and evaluation. Mary Lia has a B.B.A. in Marketing from Texas A&M University, a M.A. and J.D. from The Ohio State University, and is a Ph.D. Candidate at The Ohio State University in Sociology/Criminology. She has been with Columbus State Community College since 2001.
