Biography

Matt Jones is an Information Technology Executive with 20+ years of consulting and professional services experience.  With deep focus on IT Strategy client services, Matt has led IT Strategic Planning, IT Governance, IT Assessment, IT Organization Structure, and IT Program Management engagements across multiple industries including Higher Education, Nonprofit, the Public Sector, and several Private Sector verticals.  Matt holds Project Management Professional and ITIL Foundation v3 certifications.

Matt currently leads Huron Consulting Group’s Higher Education IT Strategy Practice, where he focuses on providing strategic IT advisory and implementation services to colleges and universities across the country.  He has led work across the Higher Education spectrum, including large Publics, small and mid-sized Privates, the Ivy League, Community Colleges, and Academic Medical Centers.  Prior to Huron, Matt served as National Managing Partner, Technology of a national finance and technology consulting firm, where he led the delivery of IT Strategy services to mid-market companies across all industries. Matt started his career at Accenture, leading large-scale systems implementations and strategic consulting engagements for multiple Public Sector clients.
