Matthew Belskie

Biography

Matthew is the Liaison to the Center for Faculty Excellence, and Educational Technology Coordinator for the Office of Arts & Sciences Information Services at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.

Matthew's commitment to IT in higher education goes back to the service positions he held as an undergraduate at UNC Chapel Hill. After graduating Matthew spent ten years working in IT at UNC before making the transition to educational technology at the University of Wisconsin - Milwaukee.  After successfully managing several multi-year projects there he returned to his home institution of UNC Chapel Hill where he works in a similar capacity.

He holds a Masters in Information Science from UNC Chapel Hill where he focused on IT organizational management, games and learning, digital humanities, and information organization.

Matthew is currently pursuing a PhD in Information Science at UNC Chapel Hill with a focus on Esports.

Matthew is a 2016 graduate of the leadership education development (ULEAD) program at UNC, a prestigious program for skilled and motivated leaders to further develop themselves.
