Matt Gray

Biography

Matt Gray is an assistant professor in the Department of Forestry, Wildlife and Fisheries at the University of Tennessee-Knoxville, where he is integrating mobile technologies into field-based natural resources courses. His most recent project includes teaching students how to use GPS-enabled PDAs in the field to navigate to a random sampling location, geo-reference features of wildlife management interest, and enter field data into a palm-version of Microsoft Excel using these units. Matt earned his Ph.D. in wildlife science and mathematics from Texas Tech University, M.S. in wildlife ecology and statistics from Mississippi State University, and B.S. in wildlife management from Michigan State University.
