Matt Schmitz
Biography
Matthew Schmitz is the Associate Director of Online and Blended Learning at Southern Illinois University Edwardsville's Instructional Design & Learning Technologies Center (a branch of Information Technology Services). One of his primary duties is collaborating with faculty to devise, amend, or implement instructional paradigms. Matthew assists in the integration of technology into the face-to-face, hybrid, and online environments, also serving as a member of the training staff in order to ensure that faculty and students can use these tools effectively. His occupational interests include the adoption of open source technologies, the exploration of the versatile role that digital literacy plays in students' education, and strengthening the symbiotic relationship between faculty and students in the teaching and learning processes.EDUCAUSE Presentations
