Melissa Lockhart

Biography

Melissa Lockhart has over 24 years of experience with technical training, technical writing, instructional development, faculty development, assessment, online education, classroom technology, e-learning and multimedia development. She has provided technical and instructional design support to faculty and departments for a variety of technologies. She enjoys working with faculty to explore, pilot and assess emerging technologies. She has a passion for working with educational technology, more recently she has been learning about mobile technologies and social media and how they can apply to the online teaching environment. In addition, Melissa has presented at the United States Distance Learning Association Conference, the Distance Learning Administration Conference, and the Distance Teaching & Learning Conference. She served as the Upstate Local Area Group Chairperson, the Membership Chair and the E-Learning Conference Coordinator & Chair for the Carolinas Society for Training & Development. She was also a member of the Society for Human Resource Management(SHRM) and the SHRM High Tech Net. Melissa received her Masters in Human Resource Development from Clemson University in 1998. She received her B.S. in Psychology with a minor in Health and Physical Education from Tennessee Technological University in 1996. She also holds teaching certificates from SLOAN-C and Magna Publications in online teaching and is a Google Educator. She also completed the CCIT Clemson University Leadership program and is a recent graduate of Clemson University's Staff Development program.
