Biography

EdTech Diagnostician | Instructional Designer | Teacher | Budding Podcaster

As an EdTech, I adopt a diagnostician's mindset. My primary focus is understanding my client's unique needs and goals rather than just creating standard courses and training programs. I'm much more interested in solving problems for people. 

Before Columbia I was a Broadway stagehand. I learned how to work hard, be part of a team, and meet deadlines. The show must go on.

At Columbia's Center for Teaching and Learning I worked with 1000+ faculty, which was the greatest learning experience I've ever had. I learned more from them than they learned from me. I stand on the shoulders of giants.

Nowadays I put my skillset towards helping veterans. I built an online learning space for FourBlock's 10-week Career Readiness Program. I built 5 MOOCs for veterans and veteran-supporters. I've helped get 50K followers to our social media platforms. The work is wonderful and gratifying, and I have a lot more to do.

I've started my own version of a podcast, under the hashtag #EducationalDesignerUnited. I interview smart people, and then move their ideas forward through my channels.
