Biography
Mike Coppin is the Divisional Director for Oracle’s Education and Research business unit, with responsibility for Europe, The Middle East and Africa (EMEA).
As part of the EMEA Applications and Industry Management Team, Mike is responsible for all EMEA Education & Research (E&R) Business Development, as well as the implementation of the E&R business strategy. This includes K-12, Higher Education, Business School and Research Institution business programs. Prior to his current role, Mike was the Sales Director for Applications for Oracle Corporation in South Africa. Mike has more than 25 years experience in the IT industry, and has occupied various Director level management positions.
Mike was educated in Namibia, and studied at The University of the Witwatersrand Business School in Johannesburg (South Africa), from whom he obtained a diploma in Business Management. He has also received qualifications in consulting and project management. He is based in the United Kingdom, but travels extensively throughout Europe, the Middle East, Africa and the United States. His travels have provided him with a unique opportunity to meet with, and gain an insight into, Education Institutions throughout the world.
