Mike Dannenberg

Biography

With over 25 years of technical project management and systems engineering experience, Mike helps to create learning environments that are both engaging and secure for the students and academics alike. Mike excels in classroom system design and implementation. Known for his innovative solutions and creative approaches, he has worked on a wide variety of award-winning facilities and institutions. Mike is well versed in integrated audio-video design and environmental integration. His project experience often encompasses exploring how technology can best enable new teaching pedagogies. 

Mike started his technical career in the design of film theater projection equipment and moved into the special venue market, designing and managing high-end systems for large screen attractions. Transitioning into the audiovisual market as a senior project manager, Mike handled corporate and classroom system design and implementations covering a wide range of facilities and institutions. He has obtained his CTS certification as well as becoming well versed in integrated conferencing design and environmental integration. He holds his DMC-E certified for Crestron Digital Media systems engineering as well as other manufacturer current certifications. 

He participates on the ICAT (InfoComm International) and the Academic Facilities (IFMA) councils and is a member of the Los Angeles chapter of the United States Green Building Council. Mike is also involved in the Los Angeles Chapter of IFMA (International Facility Managers Association) and was previously Chapter Secretary for two terms and also did three terms as Communications Chair. Mike is a regular contributor to the Learning Spaces Collaboratory.
