Biography
Mike currently serves as the southeast regional Education Specialist as well as the Immersive Learning POC for Public Sector Domain Specialists, with extensive experience in cross-functional solution building, dynamic team performance, thought leadership, and “no fail” mission execution. By leveraging Immersive Learning & Distance Training, Next-Gen Education Technology and Verizon's extensive wireline & wireless solutions, Domain Specialists provide subject matter expertise to Verizon's Public Sector customers as well as support the core sales teams.
Prior to joining Verizon Mike served in several roles in the United States Air Force and Air National Guard as a combat pilot and commander. He has over 24 years of experience in advanced programs, special technical operations, mission planning and executive leadership. His most recent military roles include Squadron Commander, where he was responsible for ensuring the readiness of more than 670 airmen over 17 specialties in the execution of federal and state missions; and Chief of the Air National Guard’s 5th Generation Fighter Branch, where his multi-discipline team of maintenance professionals, program managers, operators and engineers were tasked with the responsibility for F-35 requirements and weapons systems fielding, defining US warfighter requirements and supporting tactics development for the joint, multi-national $400 billion F-35 program. He currently serves in a part-time capacity as a senior leader in the Air National Guard.
Mike earned his commission and a Bachelors of Science as a graduate of the United States Air Force Academy and holds a Masters of Business Administration from Webster University.
