Michael Humphrys is a collaborative higher ed IT leader who thrives at the intersection of strategy, innovation, and people. As Director of Strategy & Innovation Harvard's John F. Kennedy School of Government, he helps translate institutional priorities into actionable technology plans, leading multi-year planning, project portfolio governance, and strategic communications. Michael is passionate about simplifying complexity, retiring technical debt, and delivering services that actually work for students, faculty, and staff. He’s known for building trust across silos, asking the hard questions, and bringing clarity to messy conversations. With a background spanning enterprise systems, service design, and digital transformation, Michael approaches IT as a strategic partner in advancing the mission of higher education—especially during times of change and uncertainty.
