Mike Roberts

Biography

Mike Roberts's most recent assignment was startup CEO of the Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN), where he was responsible for building an organization to carry out a U.S. Government decision to privatize a number of Internet technical management functions.

His thirty year career in information technology in higher education has included positions in the computing organization at Stanford University and at EDUCOM, where he was responsible for creating the networking policy program and served as Director of the Networking and Telecommunications Task Force.

He has participated in the founding of many organizations dedicated to serving institutional needs in computing and networking over the years, including CAUSE, the Internet Society, and Internet2.
