
Michael POOLE
Biography
Michael is responsible for all aspects of Ellucian's Cloud Business Unit. His team is responsible for the transition of existing Ellucian customer's on-premise deployments to the Ellucian Cloud, onboarding new Ellucian customers in conjunction with our professional services teams globally. Once live in the Ellucian cloud, whether in a private hosting deployment or our rapidly growing SaaS-based offerings for ERP and eCRM, the assurance and satisfaction with these critical services.
Before Ellucian, Michael was the Chief Operations Officer for NaviSite/Time Warner Cable. Michael and his global team were responsible for providing enterprise-class,
cloud-enabled hosting, IaaS, SaaS, and MAS - managed application services (ERP, Business Analytics, Collaboration, and Custom App Dev), as well as Professional Services, Product Development, and ongoing Customer Success/Service Management.
Prior to joining NaviSite, Michael was the Chief Technology Officer for the University of Massachusetts System where he was responsible for all aspects of the university's centralized shared services platforms including PeopleSoft/Oracle ERP, Private Cloud technology hosting, management of UMassOnline platform as well as the technical executive responsible for the building of the Massachusetts Green High-Performance Computing Center (MGHPCC) a consortium of Commonwealth research institutions focused on research requiring advanced high-performance computing infrastructure.
Earlier in his career, Michael was an operational technology executive in the financial services and educational publishing industries, for global leaders in these verticals with Wellington Management and Houghton Mifflin Harcourt.
Michael holds a Bachelor of Science in Communications from the State University of New York at Oswego and has attended the graduate program in Telecommunications and Computing Management - MSTCM at Polytechnic University, now the Tandon School of Engineering at NYU.
