Michael Shvarzblat

Biography

The Boston native cognitive psychologist and researcher, Michael Shvarzblat is born in 1954. He has authored a number of research publications in the field of cognitive psychology. His publications are mostly about perception, learning, cognition, emotion, motivation, and memory.

Currently, he serves as a professor of psychology at the Pace University. Moreover, he is the author of the book ‘The Angels and Demons Within’, in which he advocates evolutionary explanations for the functions of the brain and behavior.

Additionally, he has worked as a psychology professor at the Boston University and as a director at the Department of Cognitive Neuroscience at MIT and at the Harvard University.

Shvarzblat graduated from the Boston University and holds a bachelor’s degree in Experimental Psychology. Furthermore, he received his doctorate in the same discipline in 1979.
