Michel Coconis is the current director of the online Criminal Justice degree completion initiative at Ohio Dominican University in Columbus, OH. She is also the interim director of the online Homeland Security Certificate program at ODU. Having been instructing in this program for nearly 3 years, a faculty director was sought to work to coordinate the different aspects of the program especially as preparation begins for school-wide reaccreditation next year. Dr. Coconis received her B.A in psychology at Ohio Dominican (where she took 1 BASIC programming course and worked on IBM system 6) and her M.S.W. and PhD, both in social work, from the Ohio State University. When not teaching online, she works on poverty policy and with persons on death row or facing the death penalty as a mitigation investigator.
