Michele Gross

Biography

Michele Gross is the Director of the University of Minnesota’s Policy Program.  Michele joined the University in 1978 and has held a number of positions at the University of Minnesota including Accounts Payable manager for 13 years, business project manager for a five-year grants management improvement effort; manager of a sponsored accounts receivable software implementation, and business lead for the discovery phase of the University’s financial system replacement. In these prior positions, she served as a policy owner, policy writer, and policy facilitator. In her current role as program director, she regularly speaks on policy development and maintenance best practices at conferences and other institutions. She also serves as the administrator for delegations of authority and performs compliance risk reviews in the Office of Institutional Compliance.

Michele received her undergraduate degree from North Dakota State University. She served as President of the Association of College and University Policy Administrators (ACUPA) for four years. She is also a member of the Minnesota Policy Management Network; comprised of policy professionals from major corporations within Minnesota.
