Mitch Parks
Biography
Mitch Parks is the Associate Vice President for IT & Chief Information Security Officer at the University of Idaho, the flagship, land-grant university in the State of Idaho. Mitch advocates for information security across the institution, and directs all aspects of the information security program.
Mitch started the Information Security Office as its first Security Officer at Idaho in 2013, after 19 years in growing IT roles across the institution. The office has grown from a staff of one to nine full-time direct reports and six indirect reports, including research cyber support, identity and access management, security operations, and statewide networking.
