Biography

Mitch Parks is the Chief Information Security Officer at the University of Idaho, the flagship, land-grant university in the State of Idaho. Mitch advocates for information security across the institution, and directs all aspects of the information security program.

Before founding the Information Security Office at Idaho in 2013, Mitch spearheaded information security efforts from the trenches at Idaho starting in 2008. Prior to that time, he managed and supported IT systems for university departments for over 10 years, and supported IT for small businesses in Idaho for numerous years.
