Mohamed Khedr

Biography

Prof. Mohamed Essam Khedr is a distinguished academic and administrator with extensive experience in higher education, research, and institutional management. He currently serves as the Dean of Admission and Registration at the Arab Academy for Science, Technology & Maritime Transport (AAST), where he plays a key role in student enrollment strategies, academic policies, and institutional development.

With a strong background in mobile and wireless communications as well as artificial intelligence (AI) applications in communication networks and higher education, Prof. Khedr has contributed significantly to both research and industry. He holds a BSc and MSc in Engineering from AAST and earned his PhD in Engineering from the University of Ottawa.

Throughout his career, he has held multiple leadership roles, including Dean of Academic Affairs, Dean of Student Affairs, and Manager of African and Asian Studies. His expertise extends to curriculum development, IT-driven admission management systems, and capacity-building projects. He is actively involved in Erasmus+ programs and other international collaborations aimed at enhancing higher education in the AI era.

Prof. Khedr is also a Senior Member of IEEE, a testament to his contributions to engineering and technological advancements. He has led various research projects, consultations, and academic committees, shaping policies and innovations in education and technology.
