Nancy O'Laughlin

Biography

Nancy O’Laughlin, Ed.D. is the Learning Management Systems (LMS) Support manager in the IT Academic Technology Services organization at the University of Delaware supporting the daily administration, maintenance, and operations of the LMS as well as its effective use for teaching and learning.  She has also taught online as adjunct professor at University of Southern Florida.  She has an Ed.D. in Educational Leadership with a concentration in Curriculum and Instruction specializing in Educational Technology. Nancy works with faculty to promote effective uses of technology in education. Working in Higher Education for over 17 years, she has experience with several Learning Management Systems, most recently with Canvas. Besides her LMS work, she has helped faculty design and develop courses as an Instructional Designer/Educational Technologist.  Areas of interest include: hybrid or blended learning, online/distance learning, accessibility and e-portfolios. She has presented at various conferences over the years including: EDUCAUSE, AAEEBL, LMS conferences and the AAC&U e-portfolio forum. She participated in the ID2ID program in 2018-2019, culminating that program with an accessiblity presentation at Association for the Advancement of Computing in Education (AACE) - EdMedia +Innovate Conference in Amsterdam.
