Biography

Sakai Community Coordinator working for the Apereo Foundation, a 501(c)(3) non profilt. Apereo's mission is to help educational organizations collaborate to foster, develop, and sustain open technologies and innovation to support learning, teaching, and research. 

Fifteen years experience in higher education, including LMS management and educational technology. Thirty years in Information technology as a whole including multiple industry sectors includin medical information systems, telecommunications and education. 

PMP (project management professional) certified through the international PMI.org, including prevous service as a senior instructor for the local North Carolina Chapter. 

Co-founder of the OSCELOT open source community.

A combination of work interests and personal interests include in communications planning, compassionate communication/emotional intelligence, risk management, openness, diversity, bridging across differences, and Community.
