Nick Choban
Biography
Nick has had a wide and varied tenure at the University of Minnesota. He started out as a Cobol programmer supporting the payroll system. As time went on, he moved to management where he became Director of Applications Development. When the University implemented Peoplesoft on a Unix platform running Oracle, Nick moved to the Infrastructure area where he became Director of Central Computing and Operations. In that role, Nick has overseen the growth from a basic mainframe environment to Minnesota's computing infrastructure of today where his group is responsible for 100's of unix and windows servers, Oracle databases for all Enterprise applications, central e-mail, and what we're here to talk about today, the build out of Minnesota's SAN.EDUCAUSE Presentations
