Biography

Dr. Nico Schüler (born 1970) is University Distinguished Professor of Music Theory and Musicology at Texas State University (USA) and the immediate past-president of the Southwest Chapter of the American Musicological Society. His main research interests are interdisciplinary aspects of 19th/20th century music, methods and methodology of music research, computer applications in music research, music theory pedagogy, and music historiography. He is the editor of the research book series Methodology of Music Research, the editor of the peer-reviewed journal South Central Music Bulletin, the author and / or editor of 21 books, and the author of more than 120 articles.
