Remote work can present different organizations and individuals with many of the same challenges. The authors provide ten tips to help distributed teams make the most of working together across geographic distances and personal differences.
Nicole joined EDUCAUSE in October 2018 as the Director of Board and Enterprise Planning and was promoted in January 2020 to serve as the organization's first Chief Planning Officer. She is responsible for board relations, association strategic planning, and activities related to enterprise process improvement and project coordination. She has over 15 years’ experience working in non-profit, government, and higher education, including positions with George Mason University, Duke University and the University of Colorado Denver|Anschutz Medical Campus. Highlights of her work include developing and growing the business analysis, continuous process improvement, and relationship management capabilities of a centralized IT department, leading a campus-wide administrative prioritization project, restructuring student fees, developing budget models for new academic programs, and implementing multiple applications aimed at improving student success and administrative efficiency. Nicole holds a master of public policy degree from the George Mason University and a bachelor of arts in American Studies from Barnard College.
