Biography

Nycole M. Joiner, CAE, is a senior executive with over 25 years of progressive experience in association management and finance sectors. Her diverse experience includes leadership of finance and operations teams, strategic work with board committees, and development of operational strategies and tactical plans for associations and other nonprofit organizations.

Nycole currently serves on the board of Women in Ethics and Compliance – Global, as the board treasurer and helps lead the organization’s strategic planning, governance, and operation functions. Before joining EDUCAUSE, Nycole was the VP, of Finance and Head, of Central Education & Events with the Healthcare Businesswomen’s Association, where she oversaw the association’s finance and was responsible for new product development for educational offerings. She also worked in higher education as the director of finance for a small not-for-profit university in Fairfax, VA, and as an adjunct faculty member for a small private college in Annapolis, MD.

Nycole is a Certified Association Executive and holds a Master of Science in Accounting with an emphasis in Accounting Information Systems from Strayer University, and a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Morgan State University located in Baltimore, MD.

When Nycole is not working, she enjoys spending time with her two children and close family and friends, volunteering, traveling, stage plays and listening to music.
