Biography
CFO and Vice President of People and Culture Nycole Joiner is a seasoned finance professional with extensive experience in association management and the finance sector. Her diverse background includes leading finance and operations teams, collaborating strategically with board committees, board service and board committee leadership, and developing operational strategies and tactical plans for associations and other nonprofit organizations. Nycole joined EDUCAUSE in 2021 as the Vice President and Chief Financial Officer. Prior to her role at EDUCAUSE, she served as the Vice President of Finance and Head of Central Education and Events for another nonprofit association, where she oversaw the organization’s finances and was responsible for the development of new educational products. Additionally, Nycole worked in higher education as the Director of Finance at a small not-for-profit university in Fairfax, VA, and as an adjunct faculty member at a private college in Annapolis, MD. Nycole is a Certified Association Executive and a Certified Financial Social Worker. She holds a Master of Science in Accounting with an emphasis in Accounting Information Systems from Strayer University and a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Morgan State University in Baltimore, MD.
