Biography
Studied communication science until 1999 at the Ruhr-Universitaet Bochum, did research on videoconferencing at the University of Essen (2003) and worked as an e-learning-advisor at the University of Duisburg-Essen before changing to ETH Zurich in 2005 to become part of the NET - Network for Educational Technology as Head of the Media Centre (Videoconferencing and Teleteaching). In 2006, he joined Multimedia Services to head the Production and Distribution group, in charge of audio and video content at ETH Zurich. Suppporting the foundation of the Opencast Community since 2007, he worked as a product manager for the Opencast Matterhorn Project.2009 - 2011. In 2011, he was elected to the Opencast Board which he chairs since 2012.
