Biography
Oneita Burgess is director of the distance learning program, REACH, at the University of Texas of the Permian Basin in Odessa, Texas. She manages the course development process for online courses, serves as administrator of local learning management system and coordinator of interactive video system. Her ongoing interest is to create rich learning environments using various teaching technologies. She has served as a strategic instructional development resource and advisor. Oneita completed her master's degree in educational technology with emphasis in distance education from Texas Tech University. With undergraduate background in chemistry, computer science and mathematics, she brings a diverse and flexible perspective to technology applications in education. She has served as a director of distance learning at both community college and university levels and has teaching experience from middle school through college levels.
