Biography

For over 22 years, I have worked extensively in education with learners from kindergarten through practicing educators. A key focus of my career has been supporting teachers in effectively using technology and proven teaching methods in their classrooms. I hold a Bachelor's degree in Secondary Education from Virginia Tech, a Master's in Educational Technology from Michigan State University, and additional certifications in STEM Education and Master Online Instruction. My professional experience spans working as a classroom teacher, instructional technology coach, STEM coordinator, and instructional designer in North Carolina, Virginia, Germany, and Japan. My husband and I moved to North Carolina from the Shenandoah Valley of Virginia in September 2023. When I'm not working, I enjoy reading, going for walks, kayaking, scuba diving, and traveling.
