Shane Milam
Biography
Shane Milam, Executive Director of Technology Infrastructure for Mercer University, has developed, deployed, and supported information technology infrastructure for fifteen years at the University. His group is responsible for the systems, servers, business applications, networking, and telephony infrastructure for the University throughout the state of Georgia. During this tenure he has also functioned as an independent contractor in the field of educational, legal, and commercial software development, and IT project management. He has extensive experience in the design, development and delivery of computer-based educational resources for undergraduate, professional, and technical learning environments. At Mercer he has successfully built cooperative projects between traditionally unrelated academic groups, collaborated and presented for multiple research grants, developed new academic programs, and moved the University deep into cloud computing territory. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from Mercer University.EDUCAUSE Presentations
