Paul Bowers
Biography
In his current role at Buena Vista University, Paul has been part of a team developing eBVyou, the first wireless educational community in the nation,. He has also developed a Teaching and Learning with Technology Center - a comprehensive faculty support system for integrating technology into the curriculum. The TLTC provides programs and support for faculty on the Storm Lake campus and in 16 Centers located across Iowa. Paul has also served as a professor in Mass Communication for over 15 years teaching a variety of media production and criticism courses, and developing a full service video production facility. Paul has served for 13 years on the Executive Committee of the Educational Telecommunications Committee (ETC) –overseeing development of educational applications of the Iowa Communications Network, Iowa's statewide fiber-optic distance learning network. He is a frequent presenter as national and regional conferences including EDUCAUSE and the League for Innovations. Paul has also served as a technology and distance learning consultant on a numerous projects for private and community colleges across the U.S. as well as the U.S. Department of Education. Currently he is working on the 21st Century Learning Infrastructure Initiative for the State of Iowa.EDUCAUSE Publications
