Biography
Paul Luppino is the Director of Strategic Alliances at Iron Mountain Inc. He is the former Manager of University IT Support Services & IT Projects at Tufts University. Paul is responsible for the daily operations of the University IT Support Center, which includes the call center (for faculty, students and staff), desktop support services, quality assurance testing, project management, communication, and strategic planning. In this position, Paul chairs the Support Advisory Team (SAT) with members representing the various areas of the University on multiple campuses with the goal of addressing issues of support and training for all University-wide IT projects, processes, and product implementation. The SAT also provides advice and consent to the designers, developers, and implementers of these projects. Prior to this role, Paul worked in the Finance division at Tufts University, where he was responsible for the electronic report distribution process, application and system security, and web development. He also participated in enterprise-wide system implementation projects. Paul has held various IT-related positions in corporate settings prior to his work in higher education with corporations like Microsoft, Corporate Software, and Stream International. In addition to IT work, he has also held clinical positions in veterinary medicine in both the academic and public sectors. Paul attended Harvard University, Boston University, and Tufts University and is a member of several professional organizations including EDUCAUSE, the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners, the Information Systems Audit and Control Association, Project Management Institute, The Helpdesk Institute (HDI), Gantthead, The Veterinary Emergency and Critical Care Society, and the European Veterinary Emergency and Critical Care Society. He is also a graduate of the EDUCAUSE Institute Leadership program. Paul leads a constituent group for teaching and learning at EDUCAUSE, specifically for Handheld and Mobile Computing, and in 2006 he was a member of the program committee for the North East Regional Computing Program (NERCOMP) conference as track chair for technology support. Most recently, Paul was asked to join the 2007 program committee for NERCOMP and again serves as the track chair for technology support. Paul is also a member of the Board of Trustees for NERCOMP (an EDUCAUSE affiliate).
