Biography
The Chief Information Officer and Dean of Scholarly and Research Technologies for the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai also serves as Vice President of Information Technology for the Mount Sinai Health System. As a member of the School’s senior leadership team, this role collaborates with the academic community, institutional leaders, external partners, and stakeholders to shape and execute an evolving vision and strategy for innovative educational, scholarly, and information technology solutions and services.
The portfolio encompasses libraries and information sciences, educational technology, student and academic systems, artificial intelligence, mobile applications, digital collections, distance education, learning environments, and technology services that support education and discovery across the Icahn School of Medicine and throughout the Mount Sinai Health System.
Leading a diverse shared services organization, this position advances innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement while extending the boundaries of knowledge and discovery. Technology strategy, investments, and priorities are aligned with institutional goals through an inclusive and cooperative approach that emphasizes partnership, consensus building, responsible governance, operational excellence, and measurable impact.
