Background:

Paul Robinson is Associate Vice Provost and University Registrar at the University of Michigan – Ann Arbor. Paul’s responsibilities include supporting the administrative and academic needs related to student and course data for all 19 Schools and Colleges. He serves as the chief data steward for student data and student systems at the University of Michigan.

Having worked in higher education since 1984, Paul has management experience at both private and public institutions. He has been instrumental in the successful implementation of student systems at three academic institutions. Paul’s experience includes leadership roles in administrative computing as well as educational affairs related work.

The Office of the Registrar is comprised of 49 full-time staff supporting all aspects of student records management, registration, course management, room scheduling, examination scoring, teaching and course evaluations, degree audit, enrollment and degree certification, diploma management, institutional reporting, tuition and fee management and NCAA athlete certification.

Mr. Robinson is a frequent presenter at state and national conferences. Paul also has served as chair or team member in several peer reviews of enrollment services at outside universities, including the University of Toronto, the University of British Columbia, Azusa Pacific and Cal Poly Pomona and Northwestern University. He has a Masters degree in Public Administration from Wayne State University in Detroit, Michigan.
