Biography
Paula Vaughan has worked in IT at the University of Colorado at Boulder since receiving her MBA from CU in 1980. Rising from the ranks from Systems Analyst to Project Manager, some of Paula's more entertaining projects include the introduction of computing to Boulder Campus' Facilities Management Department with the design and implementation of a work order cost accounting system, in-house development of CU's Acquisition Card system, the implementation of the university's first automated purchasing system, building a billing system for the Student Health Center, and another multi-campus project effort with the implementation of the university's Sponsored Projects Information System. CU-Boulder's recent Directory Services project took Paula into the realm of middleware architecture. Paula's final pre-retirement project was as project manager for the development and implementation of the campus' first faculty/staff/student portal.
After retiring in 2006 and taking a wee break to run from Boulder Colorado to Petoskey Michigan, Paula returned to CU Boulder as a part-time retiree - and is now the part-time retiree Accessibility Testing Coordinator for the campus Accessibility and Usability Testing Lab.
