Biography
---Percevial Murphy has been employed as an Information and Communication Specialist with ECU's Information Technology and Computing Services (ITCS) department since March 2003. His work with Strategic Initiatives' (a unit within ITCS) Communication and Design Team includes writing articles, editing and proofreading, and creating marketing materials (i.e. brochures flyer, poster and etc.) to assist other ITCS departments in effectively communicating with the campus, region and state. Before coming to ECU, Percevial's professional experiences include working as a Grant Writer/Distance Education Trainer for Lenoir Community in Kinston, NC and prior to that as a Training Specialist Intern for DSM Pharmaceuticals in Greenville, NC. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in English Literature and a Master of Arts in English with a concentration in Technical Professional Communication– both from ECU. Percevial spends a large amount of time volunteering at his local. He also enjoys singing, reading, writing or working out. Two of his goals are to become a Christian and Inspirational Writer and to write and produce his own stage plays.
